- LA Public Library- You can get free eBooks and other free e-resources here. 1. Click on link below and then eCard Registration, (You will need a Parent/Guardian permission) 2. Make sure to use your personal email. LAPL will email you your eCard number and pin (last 4 digits of phone number) 3. Go back to LAPL website and scroll down to eBooks/Audio Books to check out books(s) (You can also chose Library to Go to pick up a physical book at one of their locations)

- LA County Library- 1. Click on the link below and fill out the Digital Library Card application with your parent's information, but use your personal email, (Make sure to get parent permission) 2. Once they email you, go back to LA County Library website and click on the LA County Library icon on top left to navigate to main page 3. Click on Digital Library to check out eBooks 4. For curbside pick up, click on- Books, Movies & Music and place book(s) on hold and then follow directions under Sidewalk Service on their main page, follow directions to pick up a book at a location near you.

- Overdrive- Go to the LA Public Library site above and go to E-Books & Audiobooks and choose Overdrive. Sign in with your eCard # and pin # that was emailed to you. Browse through collections or search for a book you want. Click Borrow to check out the eBook. Some popular books may require you to place the title on hold. (You can also choose Hoopla, Libby, or RBDigital on the LAPL website under E-Books & Audiobooks).
- Open eBooks- Go to the app store on your phone and download Open eBooks. Sign in with First Book to download free eBooks. Enter the following code and pin- high school- HGC7LAZVHV | 4169 middle school- M97N2LTNFJ | 0902
- Audible and Scribd- You can get a free trial on Audible or Scribd to obtain free books and then cancel your subscription before you are charged.

- BookBub Alerts you to limited time free or discounted e-books. Free to join. Read on any device. Scroll down to book categories and choose Teen & Young Adults.
- Free-Ebooks.net A free membership gives you five downloads per month. Scroll down to category and choose Youth or Classics.
- freebooksy.com Finds which books are free on any given day from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple and Kobo and posts them daily. Choose Browse by Category, then Young Adult.
- hundredzeros.com This site tells you which books are free on Amazon. At the very bottom of the "Browse Books by Subject" bar at the right is "Young Adults and Teens."
- Open Library An online lending library with 100s of participating libraries in the US and Canada and other countries. Set up an account and borrow up to 5 titles for 2 weeks each. Read on a computer or on your smartphone or e-reader.
